Raw Edge Cogged V-belt are a kind of mechanical transmission that uses a flexible belt tensioned on a pulley to transmit motion or power. According to the different transmission principles, there are friction-type belt transmissions driven by the friction between the belt and the pulley, and belt transmissions driven by the meshing of the teeth on the belt and the pulley.
Raw Edge Cogged V-belt have the characteristics of simple structure, stable transmission, shock absorption, large shaft spacing and power transmission between multiple shafts, low cost, no lubrication, and easy maintenance. It is widely used in modern mechanical transmission.
Friction-type Raw Edge Cogged V-belt can be overloaded and skid, with low running noise, but the transmission ratio is inaccurate; synchronous belt transmission can ensure transmission synchronization, but the ability to absorb load changes is slightly poor, and high-speed operation is noisy.
In addition to transmitting power, toothed belts are sometimes used to transport materials and align parts.
